Billing and wallet
Top-up, the two credit kinds, renewals, auto-renew as it works today, annual billing, referrals.
Credit lives in two buckets on Wallet. Money is whole rupees. Top up through Cashfree (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets), from ₹100 to ₹50,000. A top-up cannot be paid for with credit.
Two kinds of credit
Referral credit pays at most 25% of an order (whole rupees). Top-up credit can pay the rest, up to the full amount. Referral credit is used first.
Example, an ₹899 order. With ₹500 of referral credit, ₹224 is used (25% of ₹899) and ₹675 is due. Add ₹1,000 of top-up credit: the remaining ₹675 is paid from top-up and ₹0 is due.
Renewals
When a renewal is due, the wallet is used first. If auto-renew is on, the saved card is meant to cover whatever is still due. Automatic card charging is currently switched off until it is verified. While it is off, a renewal the wallet does not cover waits for you to pay from billing.
If the wallet covers the whole amount, the server renews without a card charge, whether or not auto-renew is on.
Annual billing
Choose Yearly at checkout to pay the first year up front at the annual price. A server already billed monthly can switch to annual from the billing page. The change applies from the next renewal, not the current period. The page shows the annual price and the percent saved versus monthly. You can switch back to monthly the same way; that also takes effect at the next renewal, the annual discount no longer applies, and time already paid is not refunded.
Referral codes
A code applies at signup (the ref query on the register page) or within 15 minutes of creating the account. It does not apply after a paid order, and it does not apply twice.
